I worked to weave together photographs and vignettes of four people who were implanted with a medical device on their hearts that was later recalled by the FDA. The archive organized during the project and Cabrera-Friend’s photographs were exhibited by CatchLight with the Chicago Public Library and the Garfield Park Conservatory.
